Solar Powered
4G Router

ASR1000

The Brinno ASR1000 Solar Powered 4G LTE Router brings connectivity to jobsites without mains power, site Wi-Fi, or a fixed internet line. Powered by an integrated solar panel and built-in battery, it uses an available 4G/LTE connection to create a local Wi-Fi network—keeping nearby Brinno BCC5000 cameras connected to the Brinno Cloud for remote monitoring and control.

Connectivity for Jobsites
Without Power or Fixed Internet

Designed for outdoor and remote locations, the ASR1000 combines solar power, multi-camera connectivity, and IPX5-rated water resistance in one self-contained network solution.

Up to 20 Nearby Cameras

When site Wi-Fi is unavailable, the Brinno Solar Powered 4G Router uses an available 4G/LTE connection to create a local Wi-Fi network, allowing up to 20 nearby BCC5000 cameras to connect to the Brinno Cloud through a single router — one SIM, one data plan, no wiring to run.

Keeps Running Through Cloudy Weather

Even faint overcast light is enough to keep the ASR1000 charging and online. With no sunlight at all, the built-in 20,000 mAh battery sustains service for up to 3 days.*The 15W shingled monocrystalline panel converts 22–24% of the light that reaches it, so the router keeps topping up its battery through grey skies and short winter days — no site visits, no battery swaps, no generator.

Common Questions

Does the ASR1000 need mains power?

No. The Brinno ASR1000 Solar Powered 4G Router runs entirely on its integrated 15W solar panel and built-in 20,000 mAh battery, so it needs no mains power and no fixed line. A USB-C input is available to top up the battery before deployment if needed.

How far can cameras be from the router?

Keep each BCC5000 camera within 164 ft (50 m) of the ASR1000 for the most reliable connection. Under favorable conditions with clear line of sight, the wireless range can extend up to 328 ft (100 m). Obstructions, terrain, and signal interference reduce the usable range.

Which regions and carriers does the ASR1000 support?

The ASR1000 is available in two models. The ASR1000-F is FCC certified for the United States and supports LTE B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B12/B17/B28/B38/B40/B41/B66. The ASR1000-C is CE certified for Europe and supports LTE B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20/B28/B38/B40/B41.

Is the ASR1000 waterproof?

The ASR1000 is IPX5 rated, which means it is protected against water jets from any direction and is built to stay mounted outdoors through heavy rain. IPX5 does not cover immersion, so the router should not be submerged.

Can the ASR1000 charge the BCC5000 or other devices?

No. The ASR1000 has no power output and is not a power bank. Its battery powers the router only, so that connectivity is never interrupted by other devices drawing from it.

How long does the ASR1000 run without sunlight?

Up to 3 days. The built-in 20,000 mAh battery sustains service for up to three days with no solar charging at all, based on Brinno internal testing. Actual runtime varies with the number of connected cameras, upload frequency, and temperature.
